V94.2 end user conference under way in Rome

GTUsers.com's V94.2 end user conference began today in Rome. The steering committee member opening the conference was Chairman Adrian Barnes from ESB, Ireland.

Below, ESB's Adrian Barnes is practicing the most important function that the end user meetings serve, which is exchanging knowledge and experiences with other specific engine type end users as well as energy and turbine experts. In this picture Ireland meets Pakistan.

Deputy Technical Director for GT and CCGT service at Fortum, Alexey Marchenko, explained major events at their power plant. It was very informative to hear how they have organized their fleet's maintenance.

Taneli Lampinen, who works as Operations Manager at HELEN (Helsinki Energy), presented how their plant's flexibility was improved to meet the new operational requirements.

Before the first conference day's round tables in the afternoon, Werner Arnold from Arnold Group showed field service and on-site repair capabilities for full maintenance of V94.2 turbines. Arnold gave recently a similar presentation in the STG5-4000F end user conference in Helsinki.

The conference will go on until November third. For upcoming end user meetings, please visit www.gtusers.com.
