The proposals for a Major Overhaul are as accurate as the Invitation to Bid specification is. Without a detailed ITB, it is difficult to receive comparable proposals and terms of proposals may not be in line with Client values and expectations.
To fulfill Client requirements for the plant Major Overhaul scope, GASRE assisted the Client to establish specifications for the Major Overhaul.
The work started with a review of possible operational requirements, expected duration of the shut-down, shut-down costs (also the indirect) and the availablility of Client own staff to assist in MO.
The operation history of the gas turbine equipment was examined in details including inspections carried out, replacement of parts, availability of spare parts and status of service bulletins. In this work TMMonitor program is of a great assistance as all information is easily available.
On the basis of the check-up a detailed scope of work and required guarantees was elaborated together with the Client utilizing Client’s commercial and GASRE technical specifications. ´
The work continues with evaluation on Tenders and contractual negotiations.
